"How do I know I can trust you?  We're on different sides..."  But Topher has always seemed more in the gray area...

"You're not really a demon either.  But that's not valid evidence that I can trust you."

'I'll be fine Brynmor, you don't need to worry about me.'

Her smile had been weak, but convincing enough to detach her exhausted guardian from her side. Meredia understood that her brother meant well in escorting her on her endeavours, of finding all of the magic-weilding children like them who had never been able to leave their Muggle lives. And since the school had been recovering itself for the last few months, it was yet to be a haven for the muggle-borns who needed to depend on it. So the bind girl had decided to seek them out herself - with permission of the Ministry - and pass on her education of shield charms and defensive magic.

'Well, i wish you all the best, my sister. We've been together - a family - for so long now, that it's going to be strange not having a sibling at my side. But i'm sure we'll manage, we're strong.' Meredia attributed his mini speech to the boy wanting to instigate confidence in himself, rather than in her abilities.

So the pair of siblings parted, finally going about their separate ambitions.

But her mission was finished, and her brother had finally become a peacemaker in the remains of the wizarding war. And she found herself stumbling throughout the street of Muggle London, bordering on the precipice of the wizarding world, but unable to locate it with her newly deteriorated eyesight. Becoming a teacher had taken a larger toll on her eyesight than she'd intended, rendering it almost completely void.

She was completely lost, now missing her family and friends more than ever.

PostSubject: Jack   Fri Feb 27, 2015 7:22 pm

Jack had been wandering the streets, his madness starting to affect him again.  He was struggling trying not to torture any person who walks by.  To attempt to keep himself at bay, he squeezes his arm and bites his lip, eventually drawing blood. But as he walks, there is someone he didn't expect to see.

"Meredia?"

I recognise that voice..

'Jack? Is that you?' She called out around her, unsure where she should be looking. She pivots on the spot, expecting to locate his voice nearby. 'If it is, i would love to speak to you right now.'

She turns to face him, beaming as she quickly folds her around him in a chaste hug, before pulling back again. 'How've you been? It's been months since i've seen anyone i knew from Hogwarts..'

PostSubject: Crest   Mon Nov 16, 2015 3:08 pm

'Go to the streets of London. I'll find you.'

That was all his note said, never one to mince words. Or even use them if he could avoid it. Were it not for the strayer symbol as the signature, there would be no reason to trust the sender. But the stoic strayer felt confident the symbol would be enough to sway any doubts.

Ever secretive, he didn't want to announce to anyone he was here. Even allies. But this meeting was unavoidable.

Artemis and Artisan were convinced that the threat had passed. They thought it was an era of peace upon them now.

But he knew better. War doesn't end. It changes forms, crawls to a halt on occasion like now but until the enemy is gathered in it's entirety and locked up, it's not done.

And so the world still needed Crest. He longed for the day when he could be Steven for once but now was not the time.

And if there was anyone who might share his sentiments it was Bryn...

PostSubject: Brynmor Desouza   Tue Nov 17, 2015 12:35 am

The man had aged since his time at Hogwarts. He felt physically older, wearied, his body clearly ravaged by the stress of war. Loneliness had almost crippled him; seeking Teddy, seeking his family, seeking anyone who had offered him refuge.

But he was still standing.

The desire to be reunited with the past- and what he hoped was his future- would have to wait. He felt the tension in the air still, one that kept adrenaline thrumming through his spine. He had wondered why the tension had not dissipated, but it led to one thing: the Death Eaters were mobilising.

Clutching the letter, he had no doubt who it was from. Having seen the Strayer grounds for himself, he was aware of the signature, the one article that would stop him walking into a trap.

Shrugging into a casual pose, Bryn sat on a bench and waited. His hands were clasped as he observed the people around him.

This again.

Behind him, a man stepped up to him, "the silver ghost would like to see you." He gave him a piece of paper with an address of a nearby tavern, infamously once used for smuggling.

The man left before any questions could be asked of him, and the paper started to spark and would ignite the second he let go of it. A true testament to his paranoia.

The silver ghost..?

Having memorised the address, he watched the paper disintegrate, not even the wisps of it managing to survive the sudden ignition.

Bryn also recognised the tavern, slowly making his way to the area. The man's  sudden arrival had made him wary, but Bryn was becoming a person who seldom placed a high value on his own life.

He decided to seat himself in the corner of the tavern, watching who came in and making an idle list in his mind.

Staring from the peepholes scattered around the walls, Crest saw the man he wished to talk to sitting in the corner.

Walking around the corner of the massive crawl space behind the walls that used to store illegal dark objects, he stood facing the wall that Bryan had his back to, speaking from behind the wall, "to business then..." His voice had neither pleasure nor disapproval, just strictly fact.

"I apologize for not facing you, but I'd rather stay hidden..."

A flash of bemusement crossed his features, his eyes sparking with what was laughter. "Not a problem. Many people have seen me talk to myself; it's probably conventional now." But the sense of amusement was short-lived, for his features reverted to a calm state before most people would register the change.

"What do you wish to discuss?" Bryn cast a muffliato, reducing his voice to a coarse hum.

"The same matter that everyone foolishly believe is over."

"Death eaters. I have cause to believe they are on the move."

He visibly frowned this time, considering it. "Yes, that's possible." Was all he could say for now, clearly in thought.

"I have had my suspicions for a long time, despite my family stating otherwise."
