I look at Strike, an apology in my eyes. "Ivor, it's okay. It's just Strike..."

I grit my teeth and smile. "Yes, well I only came here to get something for Sprout. I should be off again." I look at Navy my face softening. "I'm sorry about today"

Ivor tensed - 'sorry about today'. Just Strike, it's always just Strike. Had Strike been the one to make her cry then? He glanced at Navy.

I kept my eyes from Ivor's. "Oh, yeah... That's okay, it was my fault."

A warning growl slipped through Ivor's lips as he stared at Strike, I warned you: don't touch her again. His eyes were an icy blue as he stared into the other guy's eyes. And Navy... what was she doing?

Strike smile slightly. She always blamed herself. "No it wasn't I shouldn't have..." He glances at Ivor at the growl. "Never mind. It was my fault..."

"No, please don't blame yourself." I look up at Ivor, "He didn't make me cry, I swear."

"Cry?" Strike looks surprised. "Why were you crying-" And then he understands... Because of me.... He look away ashamed. Why did he always have to hurt her?

"No I wasn't- Well I was, but it wasn't you...I-" I stammered, I didn't kno what to say.

"Navy, perhaps it is best I get you to the hospital wing for at least a check up," Ivor replied, fighting to keep calm. 'I'm sorry.' He closed his eyes. 'Please don't hate me.'

"No, I'm fine, seriously. I don't need the Horpital Wing, I'll be good as new soon." I smile up at him.

Wasn't me? Yeah right! How did she always know what I was thinking? I grit my teeth, I shouldn't be here. I shouldn't be around this girl. I would ruin her life.

His mouth felt dry, anger welled up inside him, he looked at Navy, eyebrows raised, "Do you want me to leave you two alone then?"

My stomach drops. "What? No! No of course not!"

Cold washes over him and he clenches his fist. "Don't talk to her like that! It's not her fault!"
